Chico Community Digs In To Improve Reading

The Chico Enterprise-Record highlights Reading Partners’ work with community members to improve the reading skills of Chico students in a three part series.

Part one

“Public schoolchildren in Chico who read below their grade level are the loved targets of a grassroots volunteer program determined to succeed.”

Part two

“At Rosedale School, Principal Tim Cariss sees the benefit, not only in improving the level of reading and comprehension, but in parents who appreciate the extra help.”

Part three

” Local commercial real estate agent Rodney Krebs’ day is wedged with appointments, meetings and other kinds of commitments, but he knew between Monday and Friday he had time for a cause close to his heart.”
