I am a #ProudReadingPartner

Reading Partners has given me the gift of opportunity. The opportunity to make a difference in a young child’s life. Engaging in this volunteering program initially, I was a bit intimidated of perhaps not being able to establish a close relationship with my student. However, this program did nothing other than help me build a strong foundation with my student immediately on the first day I had met her. Through the thoroughly organized lesson plans and tight knit community at the Reading Partners’ location, I was able to build that relationship with my student that I had been longing for.

Moreover, to come in week after week and be able to see a greater difference in my student’s reading is the greatest gift of all. I am truly blessed as well as appreciative to take part in this volunteering program and only wish to continue participating, for I am a #ProudReadingPartner!
