Reading is liberation: Daron McDonnaugh | My Bookmark

Daron McDonnaugh (he/him) is a program manager for Reading Partners Silicon Valley. He first learned to read around age five when his parents read to him each night before bed. His favorite books were those in the Curious George series and The Cat in the Hat.

When asked what three words he would use to describe how he feels when reading a good book, he said “Knowledge, growth, and education.”

He believes that books can help children expand their vocabulary and build their imaginations. “Reading is liberation and helps children expand their minds.”
