Michelle Carter

Michelle is a native to Charlotte, North Carolina. She graduated from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill in 2012. She studied abroad in Italy, volunteered with a Human Rights Center in Carrboro, NC, and completed a Teaching Fellowship in Boston. She is passionate about education reform, literacy, and family engagement in underserved communities. Michelle is an avid reader and traveler. She has traveled to 11 countries and counting! She is excited about closing the literacy gap for students and mobilizing a team of volunteers with Reading Partners Charlotte. Michelle’s favorite childhood authors are Roald Dahl & Sharon M. Draper.
