Noelle Meyers-Powell

Noelle Meyers-Powell joined Reading Partners NYC as the director of community engagement in early 2025. She brings over a decade of experience in building strong community-based and citywide partnerships. Most recently, she served as the partnerships director and led the Brownsville Community Land Trust project at United for Brownsville.

Throughout her career, Noelle has worked across sectors — from emergency food systems and healthcare to volunteer mobilization and grassroots organizing — engaging deeply with some of New York City’s most under-resourced neighborhoods.

Earlier in her career, she spent two years with the Food Bank for New York City’s Tiered Engagement Network (TEN) Program, first as a staff member and later as its manager, supporting a team of AmeriCorps VISTA members. She then served as a program manager at the Community Service Society of New York, where she led the AmeriCorps Seniors program, mobilizing older adult volunteers in support of over 250 government, health and nonprofit organizations citywide — including Reading Partners NYC.

Noelle holds a Master’s in Urban Planning from NYU’s Wagner School of Public Service and a bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University.
