This May, join Reading Partners’ senior national program manager, Rebecca Deville, and national community engagement director, Alexis Acciani, to learn best practices around student engagement, behavior management and motivation.

Learning to Read

Friday, June 20 from 8 – 9 AM PT / 11 – 12 PM ET

This June, join Reading Partners’ senior national manager of partnerships, Brettin White Fox, and national program director, Sarah Buss as we demystify how students learn to read.

In this webinar, we’ll build empathy for our students as we explore how reading works in the brain.

If you ever wonder why some readers have difficulty mastering literacy skills, and what we can do to help, this session is for you!

You will leave this training understanding what we mean when we say Reading Partners is aligned to the science of reading, and how that alignment empowers you as your student’s tutor.

Adopting a Growth Mindset

Friday, July 25 from 8 – 9 AM PT / 11 – 12 PM ET

This July, join Reading Partners’ national manager of partnerships, Kalian deBruyn-Taylor, and national community engagement director, Alexis Acciani as we explore the power of “yet.” If you’ve ever found your student (or even yourself!) saying “I can’t” or wanting to give up, come and learn some ideas for how to help turn things around. In this training, we will discuss the difference between having a growth mindset and a fixed mindset, including the surprising impact of each on motivation and achievement. Most importantly, we’ll cover ways we can shift our mindsets and model this shift for our students. You will leave this training better equipped to support your student’s learning journey—academically, socially, and emotionally.

Social Emotional Learning

Friday, August 15 from 8 – 9 AM PT / 11 – 12 PM ET

Social-emotional development in children is critical because it helps them deepen personal skills such as managing their own emotions, developing positive relationships, empathizing with others and making sound and safe decisions.

This August, join Reading Partners’ national community engagement team to learn best practices around engaging with students during SEL lessons as they dive into current lessons in Reading Partners’ curriculum.

Supporting Multilingual Learners

Friday, September 19 from 8 – 9 AM PT / 11 – 12 PM ET

At Reading Partners, we work in communities with high percentages of multilingual learners (MLLs).

This September, join our national director of curriculum & instruction, Angela Padron, along with our senior national manager of partnerships, Brettin White Fox, to learn strategies you can use when working with MLLs to develop their English literacy skills.

We will explore the specific MLL supports that are currently embedded into the curriculum. You’ll also walk away with other techniques and methods you can use through each step of a lesson.
