Connie Standish

Connie joined the Reading Partners staff after volunteering as a tutor through the program at John Muir Elementary — an experience that cemented her understanding that a foundation in literacy can change the trajectory of a child’s life. She holds a Master of Social Work from Boston College, and her career spans elementary education, experiential learning for high school students, and support for families affected by dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. To this role, she brings her skill as a connector, with a deep belief in the power of cultivating strong relationships. In addition to her affection for reading, Connie can be spotted walking her dog or swimming off the shores of Lake Washington.
