Emma Gardner

Emma joins the Reading Partners team with an appreciation for collaboration and gritty determination. She graduated from The Ohio State University in 2020 with a B.A. in Public Management, Leadership, & Policy and a B.A. in Spanish before working in a middle school for another educational nonprofit organization. She most recently worked as the director of philanthropy for a nonprofit urban farm in Columbus, Ohio, where she managed government and private grant writing, donor stewardship, event planning, and fundraising strategy. She moved to Charleston, SC at the end of 2024 with her fiance Cameron, their dog Mabel, and their cat Jovie! In her free time, she enjoys working out, traveling to visit friends and family, gardening, cooking, hiking, and—fittingly—reading! She is humbled to be a part of empowering South Carolina’s youth with the skills they need to reach their dreams.
