Join Reading Partners New York City at our annual benefit, The Next Chapter on May 5, 2026 at the Bowery Hotel! 

The event will honor Brandon Lower, Advisory Board Co-Chair and Managing Director, Head of Financial Sponsors Group at William Blair, for his dedication and service over the last eight years. His steady leadership, strategic insight, and deep commitment to our mission has helped shape the organization to where it is today. 

The event will also honor Community School District 18 for their commitment to literacy and proficiency growth across the district. Reading Partners currently provides programming at PS 066, PS 114 Ryder Elementary, PS 135 Sheldon A. Brookner, PS 235 Janice Marie Knight, and P.S. 233 Langston Hughes in East Flatbush/Canarsie, enrolling over 300 students in high-impact literacy tutoring. We are eager to grow in the District in partnership with Superintendent Terry, DS Daniel, and OPE Lead Kristen Pelekanakis.

In 2011-12, Reading Partners launched in NYC with just 7 school partners. Today, we partner with over 25 schools and community organizations, annually engaging more than 1,400 volunteer tutors to deliver high-impact, evidence-based literacy tutoring to over 1,300 students.

Over cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, 350 guests will gather and engage with individuals, organizations and companies who are passionate about literacy and educational access. The Next Chapter celebration offers a variety of sponsorship levels for individual and corporate involvement.
