Lyssa Jellenik
Lyssa is excited to join the Reading Partners Washington, DC team as a community engagement associate. Lyssa grew up right outside of the Boston area and went to American University here in Washington, DC. At AU, she earned her bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies: CLEG (communication, law, economics, and government). She is currently a student at American University, where she is working on her master’s in political communication. While an undergrad, she was a member of Alpha Phi Omega (APO), a professional co-ed community service fraternity where she volunteered with nonprofits all over the DMV area. A few organizations she worked with through APO include: A Wider Circle, Rural Dog Rescue, and Martha’s Table. Lyssa is eager to continue her work in the nonprofit world and make a difference in the lives of DC students through Reading Partners.
