Madeira McQueen

Madeira is so excited to be joining Reading Partners as the Program Manager for the Seattle region. As a former elementary school teacher at two of Seattle’s partner schools, she knew she wanted to continue to make an impact but outside of the general education classroom. Reading Partners holds a special place in Madeira’s heart as she used to be a Reading Partners tutor herself — this was about a decade ago when she lived in San Francisco. It’s a true full-circle moment having her back with Reading Partners as a full-time staff member and she is thrilled to continue to promote educational equity in Seattle. In her free time, she loves to hang out with her cats, get outside, and explore yummy restaurants!
