Vanessa Gray

Vanessa discovered her passion for educational equity while attending college and has since dedicated her career to bringing quality educational experiences and resources to students. Vanessa first joined Reading Partners as a site coordinator and completed two AmeriCorps terms of service with the organization before becoming a program associate. Vanessa’s experience seeing the one-on-one impact of dedicated tutors and celebrating special ‘ah-ha’ moments with students as a site coordinator now drive her work with AmeriCorps members and partner schools. Prior to joining Reading Partners, Vanessa taught in Baltimore City Public Schools for two years, working with elementary and middle school aged students in a variety of roles. She earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology from UC Santa Barbara, and two master’s degrees in elementary education and special education from Lesley University.
