Volunteer in Seattle

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer reading partner. We are currently accepting online or in-person volunteers in Seattle for the 2023-24 school year.

  • Tutor a student once per week.
  • No experience required.
  • All tutoring materials, lessons, and training will be provided by Reading Partners.

To get started, review the volunteer requirements and complete the sign-up form below. We will contact you via email with more information about tutor orientations and next steps.

Volunteer Requirements

  • Age

    You must be 18-years or older
  • Time

    Commit to a little over one hour per week (tutoring generally takes place 8 am-4 pm, Mon-Fri)
  • Training

    Complete required tutor orientation and have access to a computer and reliable wifi.
  • Screening

    Pass a background check and any additional required screening
  • Terms and conditions

    Agree to the terms of our tutor code of conduct

Volunteer opportunities

Reading Partners Seattle offers both online and in-person volunteer tutoring opportunities. Although, space is limited for online tutoring and may not be available once slots are filled. Reading Partners and our volunteers will continue to follow all COVID-19 school safety requirements.
